VOTE
OUT NARC KENYA MAFIA IN NEXT ELECTIONS In the December
2002 elections, the National Rainbow Coalition (Narc)
received overwhelming support from Kenyan voters and seized power on a
platform of ending corruption. Four years later, the Narc
government headed by President Mwai Kibaki has been rated as more corrupt than even the
previous dictatorship of former President Daniel arap
Moi. The Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission that was set up by the Narc government to tackle corruption and that is headed by Justice Aron Ringera has failed to deliver. Since its inception, the Commission has not brought to justice a single thief in both the Moi and Kibaki dictatorships. Because of this failure, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM-Kenya) has called on Ringera to resign while the Movement has also held a demonstration outside Ringera’s office to put pressure on him to quit. CORRUPTION
AND CONMANSHIP WITHIN THE RULING CLASS Commissions of enquiries which were set up by Narc to tackle corruption have failed to nail thieves who have been stealing tax payer's money during both the Moi and Kibaki dictatorships. Politicians who have been identified as having been corrupt like Professor George Saitoti, have been protected by the government. Members of the Judiciary and former Cabinet Ministers like Dr. Chris Murungaru who were found to have been involved in several corrupt deals have been left to go free. Moody Awori, Kibaki’s Vice president, is still in office months after he was named as one of the key elements in the Anglo-Leasing scandal. Njenga Karume, a well known land grabber is still walking free. The whole government is soaked in corruption from - the recruitment of military personnel and game wardens to the printing of passports and currency notes. What is more? Our view is that the Kibaki government is not worth re-electing to power and it is for this reason that Kesdemo is campaigning for the election of ODM-Kenya. Instead of tackling corruption, the government is seeking selective justice and involved in smear campaigns of government opponents on the question of corruption. With its policy of selective justice, Kesdemo believes that the real thieves who have stolen from public coffers before and during Kibaki’s rule will never be brought to face justice. MARTHA KARUA AND
JUSTICE FOR SALE Kesdemo believes that the Ndungu Land Report, The Kiliku Report and other Reports which the government has failed to act upon and which outline different scandals should be re-opened by any new regime that comes to power in Kenya. The position of Kesdemo is that criminals who are found to have been involved in scandals should be charged and sent to prison if found guilty. Kesdemo is very concerned
that Narc has not only failed to act on corruption
scandals but the Coalition has also put justice on sale. Today, only the rich
have access to justice in our country, a tendency that Narc
inherited from former dictatorship of Daniel arap Moi. KESDEMO believes that any regime that cannot end the
system of selective justice is not qualified to govern Kenya. Under the Kibaki administration, the rich have been escaping with
crimes while the poor are sent to jail after their cases have been hurried
though the judicial system. For example, in a list of corrupt people circulated by Karua, the names of key Kibaki
allies were exempted because of a one sided justice system (fitina)
practiced by the Kibaki dictatorship. KESDEMO sees
Martha Karua as the biblical jezebel, a dirty woman
who will do anything to protect the thieving Mafia, her tribesmen and the
corrupt ruling class who have failed our Nation. PROGREESIVE VS
REACTIONARY FORCES IN THE BATTLE FOR STATE HOUSE The main problem in Kenya is that there is no revolutionary Movement or Party better than ODM-K or Narc-Kenya. As a revolutionary Movement which is still not yet on the ground, it is the responsibility of Kesdemo to analyze political formations and recommend the most promising Movement or Party that can advance the democratic struggle in our country. It is after this analysis that Kesdemo leadership arrived at the conclusion that ODM-K is the Movement of choice. ODM-K saved Kenyans from getting a Wako mongrel draft Constitution that could probably have allowed Mount Kenya Mafia to rule other tribes in Kenya for another 100 years. Although there are elements in the Movement that are not clean, the movement has been in the fore-front in the fight against corruption, tribalism, nepotism and emperor worship in Kenya. Raila Odinga, one of ODM-luminaries, is personally responsible for exposing the Armenian scandal in which President Kibaki’s wife, daughter Winnie, cabinet ministers like John Michuki and other contacts were deeply involved. From political rallies that have so far been organized by ODM-Kenya, the huge crowds that have been attending the rallies are an indication that Narc-Kenya’s future is numbered. There is no single ethnic group that can seize power in Kenya independently and the huge crowds ODM-K is pulling today are the same crowds that helped defeat the Kibaki Mafia group during the referendum. Next year’s elections will be no different and Kesdemo is convinced that Narc is on its way out of power. Narc-Kenya represents oppression, corruption, hate, deception and tribalism. These are the same problems Kenyans have been facing since flag independence in 1963. The late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga tried to fight these vices and he was constantly harassed, arrested and eventually detained. Tom Mboya, a progressive Trade Unionist, was assassinated because the dark forces under the Kenyatta dictatorship feared democracy. J.M Kariuki, who identified himself with oppressed Kenyans and who was a “shining star” in the anti-imperialist movement, was assassinated by forces that were against the development of revolutionary ideas in Kenya. The Narc government is responsible for the assassination of Odhiambo Mbai, a University lecturer because of his firm stand on devolution of power. The point is that the difference between the Kibaki administration and the last two dictatorships in Kenya is very thin and it is for this reason that Kesdemo is campaigning for a defeat of the current regime. Bildad Kaagia, who refused to join the bandwagon of the thieving ruling class during the Kenyatta dictatorship, was isolated until his death because of his firm position against land grabbing. Paul Ngei, a fighter during the struggle against colonialism, died a pauper because he refused to compromise with ruling thieves who had seized power in Kenya. Kungu Karumba, an active force during the struggle against colonialism, disappeared mysteriously while Pio Gama Pinto, a pioneer Kenyan socialist, was assassinated because of his ideological opposition. We saw how Narc frustrated
ODM-K when the Movement was seeking registration while Kenyans witnessed with
“shock and awe” how forces aligned to the Narc
government burnt down newspapers belonging to The Standard and arraigned
Journalists in court on trumped up charges. Is this the
kind of regime that should continue to hold power in Kenya? Kesdemo believes that this is a regime
that should be shown the door at the next elections. Narc-Kenya thieves are
following in the foot steps of the Kenyatta dictatorship whose henchmen
grabbed anything that was owned by the British after independence and which
made police force, military and other forces to be answerable to nobody but
themselves. After independence, the crooks occupied state house, took over
other businesses that were owned by the white man and then told Mau Mau veterans and their supporters to buy back their own
land. This infamous land policy is what gave rise to the squatter problem in
our country. The Kenya police is busy harassing Matatus and taking bribes from the most poor people who have created jobs for themselves. Other forces within the police are busy harassing and arresting hard working hawkers who have no other means of livelihood. Narc government has failed to create half a million jobs as per election promises but when Kenyans create jobs through hawking, what they get back amounts to “State terrorism” of its own poor people struggling to eke out a living. Military Generals are asleep while soldiers are being
drilled in the barracks for parades on how to salute Mount Kenya Mafia
leaders like Kibaki. Landlessness and hunger are
driving people to kill one another because the government has failed to
address the problem of landlessness and to feed its own people. Security
forces have failed to protect citizens. In some areas, the government is
sponsoring ethnic cleansing because election is approaching and those in
power fear losing it. Insecurity will continue in Kenya as long as long as a
government that does not care about security and that promotes insecurity
continues to hold power. Is there a better reason as to why President Kibaki should not be sent to permanent retirement? KESDEMO supports the initiative of hawkers to fight
back whenever Askaris are sent to harass their
business and to defend their merchandise from being destroyed. KESDEMO
appeals to hawkers and Matatu operators to join the
opposition and help overthrow the thieving Nark-Kenya Mafia that is destroying
our country. UHURU BELONGS TO
THE RICH KIKUYU ELITES AND THEIR ACCOMPLICES KESDEMO calls upon the oppressed and marginalized
people in Kenya to vote out of power the heinous Mount Kenya thugs and bury
their leadership six feet under. It is the elite who
have been fooling Kenyans since independence. The common man has never tasted
matunda ya Uhuru. Uhuru belongs only
to these elite who have access to money and wealth. Traditionally, Imperialist America has been very accommodative to past regimes in Kenya because of the huge political, economic and strategic interest the United States has in Kenya. To refuse to engage Kenya’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and instead discuss Kenya’s foreign policy issues with the Tanzania President was a tacit indication that even imperialism has already dumped President Mwai Kibaki because imperialism has lost confidence in the regime. For an American President to bullshit Tuju means that even Bush has been well briefed about the
inability of the Narc government to formulate
Kenya’s foreign policy and the rampant practice of tribalism, corruption and
nepotism in Kenya. Tuju represents a country that
has become a haven for drug and human traffickers, war criminals, economic
criminals and an assortment of war Lords eg Kabuga (wanted for genocide in Rwanda) and who has, for a
long time, been protected by the Mafia regimes of both Moi and Kibaki. The Kabuga issue could
be one reason why the Bush dictatorship is moving away from the Kibaki dictatorship because the US wants Kabuga arrested.
